AUSTIN -- Arthur L. Hughson, 73, of 705 Eighth St. S.W., a retired Geo. A. Hormel &; Co. employee, died Wednesday (May 6, 1992) at St. Mark's Lutheran Home here.

Born May 12, 1918, in Lyle, he grew up there and attended Lyle Public Schools. On Aug. 7, 1943, he married Mary Thompson in Birmingham, Eng-land. Mr. Hughson was a member of First United Methodist Church and the DAV, American Legion and VFW.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Terrance and Dean, both of Denver; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Ward and Albert, both of Austin. Two brothers preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Austin, with the Rev. Mark Nordell officiating. Burial will be in Woodbury Cemetery in rural Lyle.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary here and an hour before the service Monday at the church.
