Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Richardson, 82, who died at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center April 21, were held April 25 at Our Savior's Lutheran church with the Rev. M. Johnson officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.
Anna Richardson, daughter of Herman and Helen Oswold, was born October 24, 1887 in Culbertson, Neb.
She attended school at Culbertson and Deer Cree, Neb. later entering nurses training at Eitel hospital, Minneapolis. Due to the illness of her mother she returned home to care for her.
In 1911 she moved with her family to settle on a farm west of Lyle and lived in the Lyle area the rest of her life.
On October 19, 1913 she married Hans Richardson at Lyle. This union was blessed with six children.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church in Lyle and also the ALCW.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Opal Berg, Lyle; Mrs. Jack (Phyllis) Wallace, San Antonio, Tex.; Mrs. Webster (Marlys) Johnson, Lyle; Mrs. Duane (Norma) Hannam, St. Ansgar; two sons, Maurice of Lyle; Lloyd of Dexter; two step children, Mrs. Norman (Hazel) Brekke, Bruno, Minn.; and Orwin Austin; sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hans. two brothers, Henry and Chriss, three sisters, Clara, Marie and Carrie.
