Gov. Anderson Tells Graduates To Improve Selves
Gov. Elmer L. Andersen addressed the 28 Lyle high school graduates and 1,200 parents, faculty and friends at commencement exercises held in the school auditorium Friday evening.
He said that "the finest investment young people can make today is improving themselves to the best of their ability..."
"With most people the greatest difference is in their attitude... The real fulfillment of life is in serving others. In any field of work, those who try only to get for themselves shrink, while those who give grow and expand," he said.
In closing the governor said "I'm proud I could be in Lyle in 1962 to congratulate this class, their parents, teachers, and all who've made this event possible."
