Olette Gunderson Berg passed away October 5, 1929, at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 26 days. She was born in Brue Solar, Norway, on June 8th, 1854, and was baptized and confirmed at the same place. She came to America in 1883, and later was married to Eberhart Johnson at St. Ansgar, Iowa.

Mrs. Johnson has resided in Otranto township since coming to America.

She was a true and faithful church worker, always happy in helping others. Altho her burdens were many, they were carried cheerfully as she always trusted in the Lord for comfort. Mrs. Johnson, who truly loved her family, was a loyal wife and mother. Being a friend to all who knew her, she will be greatly missed. A kind and loving wife and mother is now at rest.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon and interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
