OBITUARY
Thomas B. Thompson
Thomas B. Thompson passed away at his home in Lyle, Minn., on April 18, 1944 at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 26 days, after illness of eleven weeks during which time he was constantly and patiently cared for by his daughter and her husband, Mr and Mrs Arthur Fortun.
He was born in Norway on Sept. [illegible?] came to America in 1894, just fifty years ago. The day after his arrival in Lyle he began working for the Milwaukee R. R., remaining with this computer for forty-three years. He retired six years ago.
He was united in marriage to Othelia Knutson on Sept. 1895 and to them were given four children. Mrs. Thompson passed away April 14, 1911. Following her death, Mr. Thompson lovingly card for his children to adulthood, giving them love and understanding of both of father and a mother.
He leaves to mourn his passing three children: Mrs Alice Volstad. In Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs Ora For[illegible:tun?], Lyle and Clifford Thompson of Badger, Minn: and seven grand children.
One daughter, Mrs Grace John passed away Sept. 15, 1936. He was very fond of children and was dearly loved by them, especially his grand children as well as his neighbors and all who knew him.
