OBITUARY

Ole G. Thompson, son of George and Olgaar Thompson was born May 7, 1870 in Sogndal, Norway and passed away at his home south of Mona Feb. 19, 1945, at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 12 days. He came to America with his parents in 1874 when they settled at Mona, where he continued to reside until his death.

He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith by Rev. J Muller Eggen, being a member of the first class confirmed in the Mona church of which he has been a faithful member. He served as trustee of this church 21 years, and has been a caretaker of the Pleasant Hill cemetery for 18 years.

He was engaged in the garage business in Lyle for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John, and a sister, Jennie. Those left to mourn his loss are Mary of Mona, Mrs Emma Robertson of Dupree S. Dak. Mrs Ellaa Dense of Stacyville, Ia., besides a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
