Gladys Steene Funeral Held Tuesday, July 28
Funeral services for Gladys Steene, 85, who died July 25 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held July 28 at the Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Gaylord Grant officiating.

She was never too busy to give help to the sick, the poor and the sorrowing.
Because of poor health, she entered the Good Samaritan Center here August 3, 1971 and continued to be a resident there until her death.
Miss Steene was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, Mrs. Theodore (Clara) Tieman and Mrs. James (Emma) Sorensen and her four brothers, Halvor, Ben, Bert and Andrew. She is survived by one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ben (Emma) Steene; one brother-in-law, James Sorensen; one nephew, Arnold Tieman; three nieces, Eris Teets, Eva Corneia and Henrietta Norby.
Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery, Mona, with Rev. Grant in charge of the committal services.
