Lizzie Running obituary
OBITUARY
Miss Lizzy Sletto was born in Norway May 18th 1843. When 20 years of age she was married to Mr. Ole Running and came to America. They made their home with Mr. Running's sister for a few years. They then resided on a farm near St. Ansgar where they continued to reside for twenty-six years. They moved to Minnesota where they resided on a farm 3 1/2 miles west of Lyle. At that time Ole Running was in poor health and passed away April 3, 1907. She made her home with her son Theodore on the farm until his death Dec. 3rd, 1913 and later came to Lyle and made her home with her daughter Mrs. G. A. Hartson until the time of her death.
The deceased had been in poor health for the past 12 years but was able to be up and about most of the time. She was a loving mother and kind neighbor. She was 84 years, 4 months and three days old at the time of her death, Sept. 22, 1927. She leaves to mourn her loss, one daughter, Mrs. G. A. Hartson and three grandchildren of Lyle. There were four sons: Ole Jr., Theodore, Bert and Charles, and two daughters, Gertrude and Caroline, all of whom are dead.
The funeral services were conducted at the Lyle church Sunday, Sept. 25th at 1 P. M., Rev. O. M. Langehough officiating. Interment was made in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
