Funeral Held

Funeral services were held on Saturday in Austin for a former Lyle resident, Mrs. Amanda Reis 77, who died in Austin following a five year illness on Wednesday June 15.

Funeral services were held at the Worlein Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Hauge of St. Olaf Lutheran church officiating and interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.

Mrs. Reis lived in Lyle many years until the death of her husband, Carl Reis, who was a Illnois Central depot agent in Lyle, then went to Austin to make her home with her daughter.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Victor (Phyllis) Sasse of Austin; one son, Carroll Reis, Austin; two grandsons; one great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Nelson of Minneapolis; two brothers Leonard Torgeson of Minneapolis and Thorman Torgeson of Naytahwaush, Minn.
