A telegram was received this morning by Mr. Sam O. Peterson from his mother in Minneapolis, stating that her husband, Ole O. Peterson, had died this morning, and that the remains would arrive in Lyle on the evening train.

Mr. Peterson has been a long sufferer, and no doubt he welcomed death as a relief, but it seems hard to see a young and vigorous man, still in the prime of life, stricken with a dreadful disease, that has slowly but surely gnawed his life away.

No arrangements have been made as yet for the funeral, but it will likely be held on Sunday.
