OBITUARY.

Christopher Carson Lysne was born Jan. 16, 1835 in Lysne Gaarden, Norway, where he was baptized in the name of the Triune God and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. When 16 years of age he immigrated to America and made his home in New Lisbon, Wis. In 1862 he was united in marriage to Theora Christianson. From New Lisbon he moved to St. Ansgar, Ia., and then to Otranto, Ia. with his family, where they lived for nearly 25 years during which time he attended the Lutheran church at Mona, Ia. at which place the interment was made. From this place he removed to Le Roy, Minn. On June 24, 1912 he and his wife and their children celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Their marriage union was blessed with ten children, three of whom have already passed into eternity. The seven living children are: John Carson of London, Minn., Nute Carson of St. Ansgar, Ia., Mrs. I. O. Share of Longmont, Colo., Mrs. H. S. Finton of Minneapolis, Mrs. A. E. Reynolds of Buckeye, Ia., Mrs. R. B. Isaacs of Hackensack, Minn., and C. L. Carson of Deronda, Wis.

Besides these children and spouses, 15 grand children and 9 great grand children mourn his death. After retiring from active labor in 1905 he made his home in Le Roy, Minn., for 11 years and since then, 7 years ago last June, he lived with his daughter Mrs. A. E. Reynolds at Buckeye, Ia.

His wife was taken from him by death Nov. 1st., 1921. Tuesday July 24th his left side was paralyzed by a stroke, resulting in his death on Aug. 1st at 4:37 p. m. at the age of 88 years, 6 mos. and 15 days.

May we all remember him as a sincere Christian and a bold confessor of Christ.
