Kvale, Andrew J. "Misspelt Koale"

Andrew J. Koale was born March 4th, 1857, in Norway and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Berg, Thursday, February 9th, at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 5 days. He had been confined to the sick bed for a year and eight months.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In 1876 he was united in marriage to Ingborg Myhre at Silver Lake, Iowa. Nine children were born to this union, one of whom preceded him in death. Those surviving are: Peter and John, of London; Gertrude Klema of Harmony, Bille Pike of Carpenter, Ida Larson of Mitchell. Olga Warrington of Austin, Jeanette Berg of Lyle and Alvina Waughtal of Fort Dodge. He also leaves to mourn him, thirty-three grand-children and twenty-one great-children. His wife preceded him in death fifteen years ago.

Funeral services were held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Rev. O. M. Langehough officiating.
