Peter K. Johnson, who had for many years been a resident of Lyle, passed away last Friday about one o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Larson west of Lyle, where he has been making his home since the 10th of December, after a lingering illness of three years with heart trouble.

He came to this country from Norway in 1870, where he was born November 1, 1850. His wife and only son have both preceded him to the great beyond. Mr. Johnson was a quiet citizen and made many friends.

The funeral was held from the Lutheran church last Sunday afternoon at 3:00 and interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery, Rev. Lee conducted the services.
