MRS. KNUTE HELGESON

Anna Olson was born in Telemarken, Norway, January, 28, [illiegible: 1861?]. She [illegible: was baptized?] and [illegible: confirmed?]. She came to America [illegible: when?] on June 1836, and on Sept. 13, was united in marriage to Knute Helgeson of Lyle, Minn. To this union 10 children were born, 4 of whom preceded her in death. Henry died in infancy,, Henrietta at the age of 17 Anna at the age of 26, and Gena at the age of 34. At the time of Gena's (Mrs. A. H. Hanson's) death she left a baby girl, Grace, 10 weeks old, who has made her home with her grandparents, since her mother's death.

Mrs. Knute Helgeson passed away Thursday morning at 3 o'clock, July 9th at her home north of Lyle, at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 11 days. She was a kind and loving mother who never spared herself, in the interest of her family. She was a true Christian influence to all who knew her.

Mrs. Helgeson leaves to mourn her death, her husband, 3 sons and 3 daughters, and 11 grand children, and one sister Mrs. Bertha Helgeson of Lyle. The children are Mrs. Fred Klawitter of Zimmerman, Mrs. Carl [Illegible: Haas?] of Lyle, Mrs. Conrad Halverson of Osage, Ole Helgeson of Austin, Alfred and Henry at home.

The funeral was held, Saturday afternoon, at 1.30 o'clock at the house and at 2 o'clock at the Lutheran church at Lyle, Rev. Langehough of St. Ansgar officiating. Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, at Mona, Iowa.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all who have shown us sympathy, and have so kindly helped us in every way after the death of our wife, mother, and grandmother.
