Funeral services were held at the Jordan Mortuary Friday for Halvor Hansen, who passed away at his home on Lyndale Ave. Wednesday, old age complications being the cause. A service followed at the church at Mona, with Rev. Noss conducting the service assisting Rev. Langehough of Lyle Lutheran church.

Deceased was born in Salvor, Norway 8 Feb. 1845. He came to this country in 1869 and came to Austin but settled in Otranto township remaining there until 1922, when he came to Austin and they have since resided on Lyndale Ave.

In 1873 married Miss Anne Thompson, daughter of Thor[illegible: Thor?] Thompson and they were the parents of 9 children, Toroal, deceased; Martha, the wife of Robert Richards of Lyle, Minn.; Bertha who died in infancy: George of Wibaux, Mont.; Ella at home; Hannah, the wife of Oscar Thompson residing on the home place; Henry of Wibaux Mont,; and Bertha, the wife of Ed Sherman, also residing in Wibaux, Mont.
