Miss Sophia Blakestad, a daughter of G. Blakestad, who resides northeast of our town, died last Saturday at 11 o'clock a. m. The deceased had just passed her sixteenth birthday anniversary and from infancy till about six months before her sad death had been in apparently good health. After this time, however, her health begin to fail and as soon as the symptoms of dropsy became at all alarming the best medical aid was secured, but of no avail. She was loved admired by all who knew her, for her gentle manners, kind heart and pleasing way of doing good seemed to make her an indefinite number of friends wherever she went. The bereaved and heart-stricken relatives have the sympathy of her many friends. The funeral was held at the Norwegian Church of Mona Monday.
