OBITUARY.

Early Saturday morning, after three weeks suffering, Mrs. Howard passed from life to the great beyond, and the remains were laid to rest in Woodbury cemetery, Sunday afternoon.

Adaline Sprage was born in New York in 1832 and was united in marriage to Addison Howard in 1863. They came west in 1877 and settled west of Lyle. To them were born 3 children all of whom are living. They are Chas. and Geo. Howard, resident, and Mrs. C. F. Folsom of Powell, Wyoming. The deceased is also survived by one brother. The husband died 12 years ago. For the past 18 years Mrs. Howard has suffered from partial loss of sight, but bore her cross in patience, never murmuring at her lot. She accepted Christ in early life and her daily walk was a benediction to those who had the privilege of her acquaintance. During her last sickness, Mrs. Howard was lovingly cared for by Miss Minnie Hanson, who has made her home with the family for 20 years.

"Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord," was the text taken by Rev. Washington, for the funeral sermon. He portrayed the happy lot of those who leave this world, trusting in the Christ for Salvation, and then in contrast cited instances from the death-bed of some who had chosen to pass thru the "Valley of the Shadow" alone. The congregational church, where the service was held, was filled to its utmost capacity, and beautiful floral tributes surrounded the earthly tabernacle of the soul that had gone to its eternal home.
