James Parmeter of Lyle township died at his home Sunday morning of pneumonia. He was 61 years of age.

He was born in Springville, N. Y. and came to this county in 1858 and has since made his home here. In 1861 he was married to Miss Louise Foster, who survives him. He also leaves six children, one brother and a sister to mourn his loss. He served three years during the Civil war in the 9th Minnesota Regiment.

Funeral services were conducted at the residence by Rev. C. D. Belden and interment was made in the Enterprise cemetery.
