Miss Tilde Olsen obituary
In the passing away of Miss Tilde Olson, from our midst, the sympathy of the community goes out again to the bereaved family, who has been called upon to mourn for the fourth time, the loss of loved ones, the mother and wife, eleven years ago, and the two daughters and sisters, two years go.
Tilda Amelia Olsen was born Feb. 25th, twenty eight years ago. For the past 19 yrs she has lived with her father's family at the old home where she died. In childhood she became a member of the Lutheran church, and when able, was a faithful worker in our Sunday School here. For a time, she sewed in Lyle, until her health commenced to fail, and only when her people realized that she was in the grip of that dread disease, consumption, did she give up active work and remain in the home, resigned to yeild without a murmur, to the higher will.
She was able to be about the house until about three weeks ago, caring for herself, but overcome with, weakness, she was obliged to give up and be cared for by loving hands, who did all they could to make the last days comfortable. Patient to the last, not wishing to be too burdensome to those caring for her, she quietly passed away Thursday evening. With the writer of old, we may say, "She is not dead but just away".
She leaves beside the father, one brother Olaf, and five sisters, Mrs. Sam Rue, Julia, Lizzie, Millie and Hattie. Rev. Esser conducted the services at the Mona church, on Saturday and the interment was at Mona Cemetery.
