Too Many Ole Andersons.

There are too many Ole Andersons in Lyle so thinks one of the Ole's and so thinks Ed Arneson a general store keeper of that village. It was because there are so many Ole Anderson that there was a law case in Justice John Fairbank's court today. Mr. Anderson traded with Mr. Arneson, as do all the other Ole Andersons of that section of the county and when he got a bill for $14.75 he thought it belonged to some other Ole and refused to pay. He offered to pay $8.25 but being a single man thought that it must be some Ole with a big family that bought an item of $5.50 worth of sugar.

So Ed sued Ole for $14.75, plus the interest of $1.93 and held O. T. Lund as garnisheer. Each side hired lawyers and the case was tried and Ole won his case in not having to pay the $16.75 but he had to pay the $8.25 plus a lawyers fee of $5, and his own car fare from and to Lyle. The plaintiff lost the case and had to pay the costs, including his lawyer which amounted to $11.84. Each claims a victory and each claims the other lost.
