The Lyle Tribune was published in Lyle, Minnesota from 1892 - 1951. William Nordland was the owner and publisher for the majority of that time.

All issues of the Lyle Tribune that are known to exist are now at the Lyle Tribune website! This website officially went live on 11 January 2019.

Years 1895-1923 are freely available to all. Due to copyright restriction, years 1924-1951 are only available when accessing the website in person at the Mower County Historical Society in Austin, Minnesota.

Here are some numbers of what was involved in the preservation of the Lyle Tribune:

• Over 100 hours of planning, grant writing, project management, driving and creating the website
• Working with 6 different organizations in 3 states
• Over $21,000 raised from 3 separate organizations
• Over 22,000 pages of the Lyle Tribune spanning 56 years preserved forever on microfilm and now accessible online!
