W. R. Hunter Rites
In Minneapolis

Funeral services for a former Lyle resident, William R. Hunter, 85, who was born at Northwood, Iowa and died at Minneapolis last Monday were held Thursday, Oct. 15, at Washburn and McKreive funeral home southeast chapel with interment in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr. Hunter died from a heart attack following a lingering illness due to several strokes.

He had operated a shoe store in Lyle and also worked for the Lyle Culvert company many years ago, then was salesman for Armco Drainage company and Metal Products for fifty years. The past thirty-one years he resided in Minneapolis.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. H. H. (Barbara) Peterson of Minneapolis and Mrs. Barney (Palma) Turnquist of Whittier, Calif. Also five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Marie Anderson of Lyle.
