Two Deaths in Mona
This Past Week

Death struck twice in Mona this past weekend. Mr. Chris Nelson, age 72, passed away suddenly Saturday morning from a heart attack while he was dressing for breakfast. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Mona Lutheran church and burial was at the Pleasant Hill cemetery. There are no immediate survivors, only a brother, Pete Nelson and three half brothers and two half sisters.

The second death was that of Charley Peterson, age 80, who passed away Friday morning at the Mitchell County hospital from a heart condition. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Mona church with burial also in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. His immediate survivors are his wife, and one son, Russell Peterson of Minneapolis, and three daughters, Mrs. Myra Cramer of Reno, Nevada; Mrs. Verna Golling of Cleveland Ohio; and Mrs. Edith Connell of Richmond California.

This makes the fifth death in Mona in the past year.
