After a brief illness of only three days, Roy C. Duenow of Lyle passed away Wednesday evening, February 22, at the age of 53.

Mr. Dunenow, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Duenow, was born on May 12, 1896, in Mitchell County, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran church at St. Ansgar. On October 24, 1917, he was united in marriage to Miss Bessie Berg. They have spent their entire married life in this community and his sudden passing will be felt by many. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle, where funeral services were conducted on Saturday afternoon by Rev. Stanley V. Gjervik. Mmes. Glen Myhre and Carl Swenson offered the song service.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Duenow, Mason City; his wife; four children, Dale of St. Ansgar, Dorothy, Donna and Dean at home; two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Rowland, Osage, and Mrs. Ella Norton, Willow Springs, Mo.; two brothers, Elmer of Mason City, and Warren of Albert Lea. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian, and his father.
