LAWYER.

At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. John Chandler, at Cedar City, Wednesday, May 2, 1900, Mrs. Sarah Jane Parker Lawyer, aged nearly 70 years. She was born at Norwich, Chenango county, N. Y., May 23, 1830, and was married there June 10, 1850, to Alfred G. Lawyer. They came in 1857 to Oronoco, Olmstead county, Minn. During the war Mr. Lawyer was in the army. Deceased came with her family to Austin in 1868 and has since resided here. Five children were born to her, three of them surviving: Mrs. Mary E. Nancarrow, Mrs. Emily I. Chandler of Austin and Edward S. Lawyer of Duluth. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. D. J. W. Somerville, were held at Cedar City where the remains were interred.
