The remains of Sam Northness were brought of Lyle Tuesday for interment in the family lot in Six Mile Grove cemetery. The deceased was well known in this community having lived here over 40 years and since he moved to the northern part of the state has been back on a visit.

Samuel Northness was born near Calmar, Iowa, January 4th, 1863 where he lived until about four years of age when the family came Mower county to reside. He continued to make his home here until four years ago when he moved to Parkers Prairie, Minn., where he passed away Friday afternoon, Sept. 3rd. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. P. A. Johnson, Mrs. E. Anderson of this vicinity and Mrs. Ole Linde of Adams. Also three brothers, John and Sever of Parkers Prairie and Peter of Silverton, Ore.

The funeral was held from the Six Mile Grove church, Wednesday afternoon of which he was a member until four years ago. Rev. A. E. Moe had charge of the service.
