Message
My Dear Mother, Miss Winterode writes Marguerite that she is coming up between trains with you. I do hope you can persuade her not to until I am able to do my work as I want it done, as I nearly die of shame when you see my house. it would be worse to have some one I do not know at all to see it. When I can get fixed right - then she can come. but you know strangers do not make any allowances for short-comings. for your sake I want to have it decent. Loving [unclear: Carra?]
