Funeral services for William Gould, 87, who died at the County Farm near Osage Thursday, August 27, were held Saturday, August 29, at 2 p. m. at the Schroeder & Houg Funeral Chapel in St. Ansgar with the Rev. S. V. Gjervik of Lyle officiating.

William Gould was born near Mona, Iowa, August 3, 1866, the son of Collin and Martha Gould. He attended the Mona school, and when a young man settled on a small farm near the Gould homestead. Here he lived until about five years ago when he moved to Carpenter. About six months ago he moved to Osage, and had resided at the County Farm where he died August 27 at the age of 87 years and 24 days.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, Ed, Steve and John, two sisters, Mrs. May Frank and Mrs. Cora Tostenson.

Mr. Gould is survived by one sister, Mrs. Emma Kelley of Paris, Kansas, and four brothers, Dr. George Gould of Grundy Center, Charles of Missoula, Montana, Frank of Omaha, Nebraska and Andy of Seattle, Washington; also several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Mona with the Rev. Gjervik in charge of the committal services.
