Funeral services for R. M. Eastlee of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Lyle and Austin, who died at McKeesport, Pennsylvania hospital, were held November 24 at the Mayer Funeral home in Austin with the Rev. John Magyar, pastor of the Presbyterian church officiating.

Mr. Eastlee was born in Lyle, the son of the late Evan Eastlee and Julia (Sampson) Eastlee. He attended school at Lyle, and became an electrician. He traveled throughout the south and west on government electrical work since 1941. He had spent the last 11 years in Pittsburgh where he retired. Mr. Eastlee had been in poor health for the past two years. He had been a patient at the Mckeesport hospital for the past seven weeks.

Surviving are his wife, Effie, son, R. Myron Eastlee, daughter, Mrs. Clyde (Barbara) Waller, six grandchildren, Sharon, Diane and Michael Eastlee and Victoria, Byron and Michelle Waller, all of Irwin, Pennsylvania; also a sister, Mrs. Clara Orcutt of Lyle and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers at the funeral were four nephews, Edward Austin of Albert Lea, Leonard Murphy of Lyle and two cousins, Clarence Meyer and Oscar Sampson of Lyle.

Interment was in the Six Mile Grove Lutheran cemetery.
