Peter H. Fahje Funeral Held At Our Savior's

Funeral services for Peter H. Fahje, 92, were held at Our Savior's Lutheran church March 7 with the Rev. M. Johnson officiating. Interment was at Woodbury Cemetery, Lyle.

Peter Henry Fahje was born March 9, 1875 in Hamburg, Germany. In 1893 he came to Dubuque with one brother and one sister. He then moved to Elkton, Minn, where he married Minnie Sievert in 1904. In 1916 they moved to Kenmore, N.D. where he farmed until retiring. In 1957 he moved to Lyle until going to Raymond's Nursing Home, Austin, a few years ago.

He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle.

Peter was preceded in death by one son, John.

He is survived by his wife, Minnie; two daughters, Mrs. Al­ice Nelson, Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Francis (Esther) Nelson, Lyle; four sons, Walter of Concord, Calif., Bernie, Lyle, Martin and Lester, Austin; 19 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, one brother, Heinrick Fahje, one sister, Margreta Borghussen, both of Germany.
