MRS. PAMELIA AULTFATHER.

Pamela N. Foster was born September 27, 1840 at Dennis Creek, Cape May Co., New Jersey. She was the daughter of James and Judith Foster. The father was in the provision business at Dennis Creek for nearly thirty years until he came west in 1848 and located in Sangmon Co., Ill., where they lived for six years, then moved to Minnesota Territory, coming with a team of horses and wagon bringing their household goods with them.

They settled in Lyle township near the banks of the Cedar, reaching here June 7th, 1854 She was married July 8, 1857 to David Aultfather and moved to the home where she has always lived, experiencing many of the incidents of pioneer life.

To them were born nine children, Mrs. Vilena L. Vest, Chas. F., William J., David C., George F., Andrew J., James H., Mrs. Laura C. Duerst and Miss Clara S. Aultfather, all living in this vicinity.

Deceased was of a gentle kindly disposition devoted to her home and family. She has been in failing health for several years and death came to her relief June 2nd by an acute attack of indigestion.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the house. Interment was made in Cedar City cemetery.
