Little Otto Ries Has Passed to the Great Unknown.

Our community was pained to hear that on Friday morning last that the spirit of little Otto Ries had gone to its Maker. Again are we forced to believe that death ever loves a shining mark for, though nothing but a boy of twelve he was the main stay of his mother whom he was ever ready to serve, doing all kinds of women's work, better, we are told, than lots of grown women. He had typhoid fever and though all that medical science could do was done for the little fellow it was not to be and he died on Friday morning last. The funeral occurred on Sunday Rev. Iorns officiating. The church was crowded with sympathizing friends who had gathered to pay the last rites. He was then laid to sleep by the side of father and sister who had preceded him to the Great Beyond only a short time before.
