Olivia Larson Hedemark

The people of Lyle and community were shocked Monday, by the sudden death of Mrs. Olivia Hedemark who passed away about noon. She had been in her usual health and spirits until a few minutes previous, when she complained of feeling chilly. Help was summoned and a doctor was called, but ere he arrived the spirit had taken its flight and the earthly pilgrimage was ended.

Eight years ago, June 18th the husband, B. D. Hedemark, passed away very suddenly, and since then it had been her wish that she, too, might go without a but lingering illness. For 44 years she has made her home in Lyle. Even after her husband passed away she was not willing to give up her home here, tho she spent part of the time visiting with her sons and daughter.

Olivia Larson was born Sept. 6th, 1844, at Grue, Solor Norway, and was married in Sept. 1873. Three children survive: Ole Hedemark of St. Paul, Bernie of Albert Lea and Mrs. Dena Vail of Selby S.D., all of whom, with their families, were here to attend the funeral, which was held Thursday afternoon, interment being made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
