OLE RUNNING.

Ole Running of Lyle, whose death at the hospital in Austin we noted last week was born in Mitchell county, Iowa, Feb. 7th, 1872, where he lived until the spring of '98 when the family moved to the farm west of Lyle. He came to Lyle a few years later where he has since been engaged in the blacksmith business. He was a member of the Lutheran church.

He leaves besides his mother, one brother and one sister Mrs. G. A. Hartson and Bert Running both of Lyle. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Moe and interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. --The Tribune well says of him: His chair and conservative advice will be missed in the Council Chamber, Volunteer Fire Department, in the management of the Modern Woodmen and officers of the Masonic order. He was conscientious and painstaking and in every station true to his trust. He was of a kind and quiet disposition and those who knew him best were his best friends.
