OLE RISNESS RITES HELD FRIDAY

Funeral services for Ole Risness, age 72 were held at Worlein's in Austin Friday.

The elderly bachelor, who lived alone with only his dog, in a shack in the woods in the Six Mile Grove area was found dead last Tuesday afternoon when Lavern Austinson walked there to deliver some Christmas boxes. Finding no one there he called in a neighbor Nordahl Nelson and both investigated and found his frozen body, and dog locked in the shack with him.

Mower county coroner Dr. George Stahl estimated he had been dead since Saturday. It was necessary to get a jeep to pick up the body as there is no road leading to the shack. There are no known relatives surviving.
