Funeral services for Ole H. Helgeson, 78, were held Wednesday, August 27 at Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle, with the Rev. M. Johnson officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery, Mona.

Mr. Helgeson died Sunday, August 24 from a heart attack.

Ole H. Helgeson, the son of Hans and Bertha (Olson) Helgeson, was born in Lyle twp. May 26, 1891. He was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran church. He attended the Red Start School near Lyle and lived in Mower county all his life.

He was united in marriage to Sadie Naverseth July 27, 1917, and one daughter, Mildred, was born to this union.

He farmed for 30 years north of Lyle and was employed for Geo. A. Hormel Co., Austin, for 18 years. In October, 1950, he and his wife moved to Lyle.

In 1911 his father transferred the family's membership to Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle, where Ole served several years on the church board as deacon.

Survivors are his wife, Sadie; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mildred) Murphy; two grandsons, Larry and Ricky Murphy, Lyle; a granddaughter, Mrs. Roger (Marsha) Evenson, Mankato; and his son-in-law, Richard Murphy.

Also four sisters, Mrs. Gena Larson, Mrs. Helen Silbough and Mrs. Kelly (Hanna) George, all of Austin, Miss Clara Helgeson of Lyle; two brothers, Hans and Henry of Lyle.
