Legislator, Dies at Lyle

O. H. Dahl, 71, former state representative, died at his home in Lyle village at 10:45 o'clock this morning.

For eight years Mr. Dahl represented Mower county in the Minnesota legislature. He was fist elected in 1925, and was reelected for the next three terms, serving as a legislator until 1933.

Mr. Dahl was Lyle's leading citizen. He operated a general mercantile store in the village for twelve years, and served as Lyle's mayor for a dozen years.

Death came after an illness of about seven months. Funeral arrangements had not been completed this afternoon. His body was brought to the Jordan Mortuary in Austin.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Russell O. Anderson, Minneapolis; five brothers, Henry G., Lyle, Ingvald F., Austin, Thomas J., Lyle, Sigurd J., Seattle, Wash., and Arthur B., Lyle, and two sisters, Mrs. L. A. Sherman, and Mrs. N. E. Fedson, both of Austin.

Mr. Dahl was born in Rock county Wis., Nov. 18., 1870. Before moving to Lyle, he lived at Otranto, Iowa, for about twelve years and was a member of the Otranto school board.
