At Mona Thursday

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, February 20, at the Christian and Missionary Alliance church for J. F. Ogden, 60, who died at his home in Osage on Monday morning. He had been in failing health for some time. The Rev. Wallace Anderson officiated and burial was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.

Mr. Ogden was born on November 21, 1883, in Mitchell county, the son of Bela and Mary (Pike) Ogden. In 1919 he married Mamie Marie Nelson at the Mona Lutheran church and the couple lived near Otranto for many years. They came to Osage in 1945. Mr. Ogden underwent major surgery some time ago from which he never recovered.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Joyce at home and Mrs. Harry Dockum of Carpenter; two sons, Leo and Nolan of Osage; two grandchildren; a brother, William of Mason City; and two sisters, Mrs. Lee Fritcher of Osage and Mrs. Francis Nelson of Austin Minn. One sister, Mrs. Katherine Kleinworth, preceded him in death.
