OBITUARY OF MRS. OTTO FOSSEY
(The Lyle Tribune)

Mrs. Anna Fossey Hanson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Hanson, was born in Mitchell County [illegible] Iowa, on July 13th 1888. [illegible] Toeterville, Mitchell County, Iowa on August 26th 1923. Mrs. Fossey had been ailing for some time but it was not considered seriously until Sunday evening, Aug. 26th at 9 o'clock when death came [illegible] suddenly, heart failure being the cause.

On Jan 5th, 1910 she was united in marriage to Otto Fossey and moved to Slope County, North Dakota where they resided until the year 1917 when they moved to Mower County, and later to Toeterville Iowa, where they resided until her death.

Six children were born to this union: Olive, who died in North Dakota in 1912 at the age of three months, Kenneth who died at their present home in 1921 at the age of three years. The four remaining children are Alice 12, Irene 11, Oliver 6, and Edith 1 1/2 years of age.

Mrs. Fossey was a woman of kind disposition, her first and last thought being the welfare of her children and home. Even tho her health was not very good she never complained. She was a Christian, and often confessed that death had no fear for her.

Besides her husband and four children she is survived by her mother and father and one sister, Mrs. Henry Gaarder, of Osage Iowa.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Moe, of Waseca, Minn., and Rev. Walker, of Osage, Iowa, at Mona on Wednesday, Aug. 29, and interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
