Funeral services for Nils H. Anderson, 85, who died at his home in Lyle Thursday morning, March 29, were held Saturday, March 31 at 1:30 p.m. at the Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating.
Nils H. Anderson was born June 10, 1876 in Otranto Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Halvor H. Anderson.
He was baptized and confirmed at the Mona Lutheran church of which he was a faithful member. The major part of his life was spent farming in the Mona community until 1948 when he retired and moved to Lyle where he resided until his death.
November 29, 1909 he was united in marriage with Minnie Carlson at the Mona Lutheran church. November 29, 1959 they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in the same church where they were married.
Mr. Anderson is survived by two sons, Harris of North St. Paul, Minn. and Norris of Toeterville; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a large number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers, seven sisters and one grandchild.
Burial was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
