Obituary

Nels Robertson, who had been ill with pneumonia at his home in Mona passed away last Saturday afternoon about 6 o'clock. He was longing for the time to come when he could leave this life for the better and great Beyond.

The deceased was born in Denmark, January 20, 1836, where he lived until the spring of 1887 when he came to this country and settled on a farm in Worth county, Iowa. Seven years ago he moved to Mona where he lived until his death.

He was a conscientious Christian and was a man of strong faith and noble character. Besides a widow he leaves a family of eight children to mourn his departure. They are: Mrs. A. Nelson of Neenah Wis.; Mrs. E. Larson of Sioux Falls; John Robertson of Minneapolis, R. Robertson and Mrs. H. Wambeam of Bolan, Iowa and Mrs. Marcussen and Nels and Mark Robertson of St. Ansgar, Iowa.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Lutheran church in Mona, and interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery, Rev. Waldeland of St. Ansgar had charge of the services.
