Funeral services for Mrs. Olven Nelson, 58, were held at Mona Lutheran church Saturday, November 3 with the Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating with interment in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Evelyn Henrietta Nelson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carlson, was born December, 17, 1903 at Mona, Iowa, and made her home in this community all her life.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran church where she had been a faithful and active life-long member. She was serving as secretary to the Mona ALCW less than a year before her death.

She attended the Mona Elementary and the Otranto High School. On February, 19, 1923 she married to Olven Nelson at Lyle, Minn.

She died following a three months illness of a heart aliment at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage, Thursday morning, November 1.

She is survived by her husband, Olven and one brother, Galen Carlson of Mason City, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Alva Gregg, George Rohde, Maynard Huff, Clifford Dehnert, Harvey Golberg Sr. and Melvin Elverum.
