Mrs. Melvin Elverum, 67, died Tuesday, February 6 at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin, Minn. after an illness of three months. Funeral services were held at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Lyle Thursday, February 8 with the Rev. Merland Johnson officiaiting, and interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery south of Mona.

Lucille Margarite Clark, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Clark, was born February 21 1894 at LeRoy, Minnesota.

She lived at LeRoy during the early part of her life. She attended the LeRoy Public School and Winona Teachers College, and taught school in the LeRoy and London areas before her marriage.

On June 23, 1920 she married Melvin Elverum at Austin, Minnesota, and since her marriage has lived in Lyle.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church, Our Savior's Ladies Aid, Mission Circle No. 4 and the American Legion Auxilary of Lyle.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin. Also one son Duane of Austin, Minn., two grandsons, Clark and Scott. Her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Clark, Austin, Route 3. A sister Mrs. Milton (Virginia) Onstad, Whittier, California and a brother Albert Clark, St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Allen Clark.

Pallbearers were Walter Denisen, Dennis Klinepier, Olven Nelson, Francis Mayer, Gene Mayer, and Orval Pembrook.

Out of town relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clark, St. Louis Park, Minn., Mrs. George Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Neilson, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Elverum all of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Homer Bucknel, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Bucknel, Mrs. Archie Bucknel, Carl Hall and daughter, Beatrice all of LeRoy, Minnesota and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Elverum of Waterloo, Iowa.
