Mother of Mrs. Conrad Halvorson Passed Away Thursday

Anna Olson, born January 28, 1861, at Telemarken, Norway, passed away Thursday morning at three o'clock at the age of seventy-five years. In June, 1886 she came to America with her sister and on September 13, 1886, was married to Knute Helgeson of Lyle. To them ten children were born, the following preceding her in death, Henry, in infancy, Henrietta, 17, Anna 26, and Gena, 34. At the time of Gena's death, a baby girl, Grace, was left who has made her home with her grandparents since her mother's death.

Mrs. Helgeson was a kind and loving mother who never spared herself in the interest of her family. She was of true Christian influence to all who knew her.

Mourning her death are her husband, three sons, three daughters, eleven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Helgeson. Lyle. The children are Mrs Fred Klowitter, of Zimmerman, Mrs. Carl Haas of Lyle, Mrs. Conrad Halvorson, Osage, Ole Helgeson, Austin, and Henry and Alfred at home.

The funeral took place at 1:30 Saturday at the house and 2:00 at the Lyle Lutheran church the Rev. O. A. Langehough. St. Ansgar, in charge. Burial was made at Pleasant Hill cemetery Mona, Iowa.
