Mrs. Harry Dockstader Funeral Held At Otranto Church

Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Dockstader, 83, who died at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital September 17, were held September 20 at the Otranto Community church in Otranto with the Rev. Howard Grossoehme officiating.

Lucy Anne Dockum was born May 4, 1893 In Mansfield, Ill., the daughter of Harry and Rosie (Townsend) Dockum. When she was nine years old her family moved to Ames, later to Oklahoma, and in 1914 to a farm north of Meltonville.

June 20, 1917 she married Harry Dockstader, and they made their home in Otranto. One daughter was born to them. In November 1975 Mrs. Dockstader moved to an apartment in Lyle, but had been hospitalized since July of this year.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Alpheus and Leslie; her husband, Harry. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ervin (Phyllis) Helgeson of Rose Creek; two brothers, Paul and Ernest Dockum, both of St. Ansgar; two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Helen) Harrison, Hampton, and Mrs. Willie (Velda) Anderson of Northwood; also three grandchildren, Larry, Dale and Carol; two great grandchildren, Shelly and Craig.

Burial was in Woodburg (sic) cemetery in Lyle with Rev. Grossoehme in charge of committal services.
