Funeral services were held Sunday, September 15, for a long time resident of Lyle, Mrs. Annie Dennis, 92, at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin with the Rev. Melvin Hauge officiating and interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Mona.

She died at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin Thursday, September 12, following a lingering illness.

Annie Olson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amund Olson was born in Norway and came to the U. S. at the age of two months and she and her parents settled on a farm west of Lyle near the Minnereka school.

She was married to John Johnson, who preceded her in death, and later married Newton Dennis who also preceded her.

She made her home in Lyle until fifteen years ago when she moved to Austin and when her failed ten years ago she went to a Rest Home where she had been bedridden since.

She is survived by three daughters Mrs. Herman (Minnie) Berndt; Mrs. Kelse (Helen Webster) both of Austin; and Mrs. Fred (Mabel) Wollenberg of Minneapolis; also one son, Floyd Johnson of Isanti, Minn., nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren; also two sisters, Mrs. Emil Schwanke, of Lyle and Mrs. Julia Peterson of Austin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, an infant daughter, two sisters and two brothers.
