Mrs. Morget Jorgenson was born in Seljord, Norway on November 16th, 1816. She came to this country with her parents in 53 and settled on the homestead, one mile east of Lyle Village where she made her home until her death Friday evening.

She was united in marriage to Svend Jorgenson who passed away 19 years ago. To them were born seven children, two boys and five girls, two of whom have passed away. The living are Jorgen Jogenson, Mrs. John Bergeson, Mrs. Knut Amundson, Mrs. G. K. Volstad and Mrs. Ole Peterson. She also leaves 21 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. The deceased was one of the oldest settlers in Nevada Township.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the house and interment was made in the Six Mile Grove cemetery. Rev. Eggen conducted the services.
