A lifelong resident, Miss Minnie Christianson, 78, died Friday morning, September 10 at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar where she had resided since June.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, September 12 at Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. S. Klemesrud officiating and interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.

Minnie Christianson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Christianson, was born September 28, 1886 in Otranto township near Mona. At the age of one year she moved with her parents to Mona where she resided in the same house the rest of her life until she was moved to the Good Samaritan Center.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran church and received her education in the Mona public school.

She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Peter (Ruth) Anderson and Mrs. Eva Carlson, both of Mona, and Mrs. Gus (Irene) Lee of Carpenter; one nephew, David Christianson, stationed with the Armed Forces in Germany; one aunt, Mrs. J. Berg of Minneapolis and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Attending the funeral from out of town were Mrs. Berg, Miss Mamie Berg, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Bergstrom and Mr. and Mrs. Jess Zacker, all of Minneapolis; Mrs. Ora Lunde and Richard, Mrs. Ellen Cordes and Mrs. Helga Bolinder of Osage.

Mr. and Mrs. John Bergie and Mr. and Mrs. Newton Bigelow of Albert Lea; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Martin, Mrs. Julius Tonder, Mrs. Ina Lammers, Mrs. Margaret Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Idore Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Nils Wahl, all of Austin; the rest came from Grafton and St. Ansgar.
