Funeral services for Mrs. Nils Anderson, who died at her home in Lyle early Thursday morning, February 15, from a heart attack were held Saturday, February 17 at Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery south of Mona.

Mrs. Anderson had just observed her eight-second birthday anniversary Sunday, February 11.

Minnie Louise Carlson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Carlson, was born February 11, 1880 in Hancock County, at Miller, Iowa. When she was two weeks of age she and her parents and one brother moved to a farm near Mona.

She was baptized, and confirmed and married in the Mona Lutheran church where she has been an active and lifelong member.

November 25, 1909 she was married to Nils Anderson. They observed their Golden Wedding November 29, 1959 in the same church they were married. They farmed in the Mona area until their retirement to Lyle about ten years ago.

She is survived by her husband Nils. Also two sons, Harlis of North St. Paul, Minnesota and Norris of Toeterville. Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and one brother Raymond Carlson of Mona, and two nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Emma, and five brothers, Charley, Gilbert, Edwin, Rudolph and Gotfred and one grandchild.

Pallbearers were Pete Anderson, Harlan Nelson, Mense Fossey, Carroll Rustad, Rudolph Haugland and Odell Haugen.

Relatives attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. Gilman Olson of Albert Lea, Mr. and Mrs. Galen Carlson of Mason City, Mrs. Ingewahl Halverson, Mrs. Elsie Havig and Harold Christianson all of Osage.
