OBITUARY
MRS CARL HAUGEN

Mena Caroline Ask was born Sept 4 1878 at Rock Creek Cedar Twp., Mitchell Co., Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Rock Creek Lutheran church by Rev. John Olsen.

She was united in marriage to C. K. Haugen April 10, 1904 and they established a home in LacQui Parle Co., Minn. In 1908 they returned to Rock Creek community, and in 1912 they moved to Otranto Twp. where they continued to reside.

To them three sons were born: Odell Klifton, Gaylord who died in infancy, and Leland Chester of this community.

Mrs Haugen had not been strong for some time but the immediate cause of her departure was quite sudden. She was called away to her eternal reward at Mercy hospital, Mason City at 1 a. m. March 30th at the age of 70 years seven months and 26 days.

She leaves to mourn her departure four sisters: Mrs Nelson Nora Springs, Mrs C Blagsvedt, Lansboro, Mrs I Rossum, Osage, Mrs T. Synsby, Mitchell Iowa and two brothers Alfred Ask, Mason City, Berhardt Ask Osage, Rudolph Ask her brother preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1932.

The funeral was held at Mona church Saturday afternoon.
